Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Australia (BHGRE) today announced Better at Home, a cinematic six-part video podcast hosted by Myf Warhurst and filmed across the homes, gardens and homesteads of Victoria. Episode 1 premieres Thursday 4 September, with new episodes weekly.
Made for all screens with the visual ambition of a premium streaming series, Better at Home profiles six Australian women who’ve built businesses, identities and beautiful lives on regional land among them a leather goods designer, an artist, and the women behind a working farm and a decades-in-the-making garden.
Each episode moves through the home, the garden and one personal space, before turning to how these women actually found and bought their properties.
Why now: Regional dwelling values rose 3.3% in the three months to April 2026 — more than three times the 1.1% recorded across the capital cities. Women now make up 54% of Australia’s property-browsing audience and the majority of solo first-home buyer applicants under the federal Home Guarantee Scheme. Better at Home puts faces and real decisions behind those numbers.
“I love a good property listing as much as anyone, but what I got obsessed with was something a listing can’t show you: how people actually make room for the stuff that matters, the food, the friendships, the space to breathe. I’m nosy, so I went and found the people who’d pulled it off and asked them how they did it!” said Myf Warhurst, host, Better at Home.
